We reserve the right to exercise our absolute discretion at any time to proscribe any link from any external web site to any content herein contained with no liability on us to serve prior notice of such intention.  Links made to this web site shall not be construed under any circumstances to establish or represent an association or endorsement by us in respect of any subject matter.  Any link made to this web site and to its content must not be misleading to any degree (whether or not intended).  Where links are made to content in this web site, fair and accurate reference must be made to our web site as the destination of the link.

Confidentiality Policy

We take our duty of confidentiality very seriously for the protection of our clients’ sensitive and confidential information and will not disclose such information without prior written consent unless, in very limited circumstances, withholding certain information puts us in direct conflict with the law.

We actively take steps to ensure systems are in place at this firm to avoid any risk of disclosure and do not discuss client matters with other members at this practice or outside.

Any information passed to us by a client, whether verbally or in writing, is automatically treated as strictly confidential unless the nature of the information suggests otherwise.  In any event, we will seek clarification from the client and, if necessary, advise of any adverse consequences that may possibly arise as a result of making certain information available to third parties.

Costs Policy

It is the consistent policy of this firm to keep costs to a minimum and to account to our clients for the work undertaken to justify costs charged to the client.

Initial consultations are charged at a reduced Introductory Rate of £50.00 per hour plus VAT, which amount is payable by the client prior to or on the same day as the confirmed meeting booking upon issue of an invoice by M&D in advance.

Notwithstanding the Introductory Rate, the professional charge out rates of M&D range from £150.00 to £240.00 per hour although a fixed fee may be agreed in advance with the client where instructions are reasonably straightforward and the timescale for the completion of the work required can be estimated at the outset.

The fee quoted represents the basic cost and such amount is exclusive of VAT and disbursements.  VAT is applied at the temporarily reduced rate of 15%.

Insurance

As a professional management consultancy practice, we maintain an active professional indemnity policy with a minimum of £1,000,000 cover.

Complaints Procedure

If, in the unlikely event, an issue of any nature arises which causes you concern, you should bring the issue to the attention of Ajeet Minhas informally in the interests of settling the matter efficiently and agreeably.  If, after having used all best efforts, the issue cannot be resolved adequately in an informal manner then please write a formal letter to Ajeet Minhas.

Notice

As a professional service provider dealing principally with business law consultancy assignments, we are ‘non-practising’ solicitors (meaning that despite any training and certificate in legal practice we do not maintain a practising certificate).  Any ‘lawyer-like’ work we undertake (such as advising clients on various non-contentious ancillary legal matters in the entertainment business, negotiating deals and permitted document drafting) is only carried out by competent, expertly educated and qualified professionals with the necessary practical skills training and experience to accept these assignments.

Our services do not come within the meaning of "reserved services" (meaning litigation, advocacy, conveyancing and probate activities under Sections 20 to 22 and 23 to 24) as contained in the Solicitors Act, 1974 and appending legislation governing the practice of solicitors.  For the avoidance of doubt, our consultants do not hold themselves out as solicitors in the course of business or otherwise.

If the firm is approached with any concerns of a contentious legal nature, it is our strict policy to strongly advise our clients to seek a professional independent legal counsel experienced in dealing with contentious matters.
