Note:

Each event is shown on the left side of the corresponding date on which it occurs and so the event will take place on the day of the month displayed on the immediate top right corner of the relevant date and event.  For example, the calendar shows that New Years day took place on Tuesday in January on the 1st day which is shown on the immediate top right corner of the event note.
